Altinay is a name synonymous with premium hand carved block meerschaum pipes.
This is a hand made pipe by Altinay of Turkey. A beautiful one-off creation which is worthy of a spot in any pipe smokers collection.
This pipe features a traditional, removeable, solid Meerschaum block bowl fitted to an Okoume Wood outer stove.
Because of the lack of availability worldwide of genuine Gourd, Altinay have used Okoume as a direct replacement due to the two materials having very similar properties.
Cork is also used on the inside of the wooden stove to allow for secure fitment of the meerschaum cup.
Finished with a sterling silver 925 spigot mount and jet black acrylic fishtail mouthpiece.
Meerschaum is deemed by most as the
finest of all smoking vessels, and doesn't need to be 'broken in' like
most other pipes, but still gets better with age.
Measures 140mm long with an internal bowl diameter of 18mm and an internal depth of 30mm.
