The 309 shape was introduced by Peterson in 1896. This large straight-sided Billiard (also known as the large Dutch Billiard) was among their first System pipes and remains one of their most recognizable shapes.
This pipe was smoked by Basil Rathbone in 12 of his Sherlock Holmes films and beautifully represents Peterson history from the first days of the patents.
It is iconically, quintessentially Peterson.
Fitted with a nickel mount and army style p'lip mouthpiece.
Like the Deluxe and the Premier, the standard system reservoir traps moisture, resulting in a perfectly dry smoke.
Can be used with a 9mm pipe filter.
