The Peterson System Spigot is characterised by a hallmarked sterling
silver covering on the tapered end of the mouthpiece which compliments
the sterling silver band of the pipe.
This signature System pipe series retains the system functionality and the original Peterson-Lip mouthpiece.
The 309 shape was introduced by Peterson in 1896. This large straight-sided Billiard (also known as the large Dutch Billiard) was among their first System pipes and remains one of their most recognizable shapes.
This pipe was smoked by Basil Rathbone in 12 of his Sherlock Holmes films and beautifully represents Peterson history from the first days of the patents.
It is iconically, quintessentially Peterson.
Finished in a rustic dark red brown stain with black acrylic P-lip mouthpiece.
